About I-CLICK Photography

The I-Click Photography project is dedicated to amplifying youth voices through visual storytelling. Youth are guided through a process of identity exploration, build confidence in how they would like their stories told, and learn to use professional cameras to represent their narratives. Through a combination of group and individual sessions, youth decide on a theme and take photos to represent how that theme relates to their lives and experiences. It culminates into a final exhibition that showcases what each youth feels is important for our community to understand about who they are and what they have experienced.

I-Click offers an opportunity for youth to be celebrated as valued members of their communities. It promotes a partnership model with youth that is centered on healthy rapport and trust building. We see youth as the energy of the city and offer transformative platforms for youth to learn the power of their own voice.
